▲ PERFORMERS ▲

CCCatch

She was one of the most popular European pop singers of the second half of the 1980s, thanks to hits such as I Can Lose My Heart Tonight, Heartbreak Hotel, Heaven and Hell, Soul Survivor or Are You Man Enough? The wave of nostalgia for Modern Talking and 80s pop music that arose in the late 2010s also brought CC Catch back into fashion, which became the highlight of RETRO events again with remixes of her older hits and her newer songs.

Jason Sean Donovan ( born 1 June 1968 in Melbourne , Australia ) is an Australian actor, singer and pop star.

He rose to fame in the Australian soap opera Neighbours . He later appeared in several films and TV series. His musical career began in 1988, while still on Neighbours . His 1989 debut album, Ten Good Reasons , sold over 3 million copies in the UK. Between 1988 and 1992, Jason recorded several successful songs, including 16 Top 40 hits in the UK. Despite not being considered one of the most popular performers, his good looks, positive vibes, genuine smile and unique voice quickly made Jason a pop idol for teenage girls, and he forever established himself as one of the greats of British and European pop music in the late 1980s.

Samantha Fox

English dance pop singer, actress and former glamour model. In the 1980s, she became the most popular pin-up girl and the most sought-after British poster girl. She began her pop music career with her debut single "Touch Me (I Want Your Body)" in 1986, which reached number one in 17 countries. Since then, she has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. The former sex symbol still tours around the world today.

Joy

The band was founded in 1984 by three high school friends. In September 1985, they released their first single, "Touch by Touch", which was an immediate success, topping the Austrian charts and entering the Top 20 across Europe. Their third single, "Hello", and the subsequent single "Valerie", were huge hits in Eastern Europe, bringing the band worldwide success, selling in over 30 countries. The band has released four albums in total.

Ivana Spagna (Valeggio sul Mincio, 16 December 1956 -)

Papp László Budapest Sportaréna

The predecessor of the Sport Arena, the Budapest Sports Hall designed by István Kiss, was inaugurated on February 12, 1982. The building was modeled on the Leninrgad Jubilee Sports Palace, although it was slightly larger. It received 12,500 spectators. In December 1999, the Budapest Sports Hall became a fixture during the Christmas market. The disaster shocked the public as the BS was the only indoor building that could accommodate thousands of people, hosting many music concerts, cultural events, and sports events. The building was completely burnt down and there was no possibility of its restoration, so a new sports hall was begun and its construction began on June 30, 2001. The ceremony was handed over on March 13, 2003.

The opening ceremony took place on March 14 and ended with a gigantic classical music concert. The Budapest Sportarena has been named after László Papp since May 28, 2004.
